Rerpot: Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw Done For The Season

Pro Football Talk is reporting that Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw will undergo surgery on his neck and subsequently miss the remainder of the 2013 season.

He suffered the neck injury during Week 3’s win over the San Francisco 49ers. Indianapolis held him out of action the past two weeks.

Bradshaw, 27, signed a one-year deal that includes incentives which could have made the contract worth as much as $2 million.

Newly acquired RB Trent Richardson will most likely handle the ground-game moving forward with Donald Brown also getting involved to some degree.

Yesterday, reports indicated that Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw was seeking a second and third opinion on his injured neck.

HC Chuck Pagano told reporters on Friday that Bradshaw will “take the next couple weeks” to decide what to do about his neck injury, per Albert Breer.

Breer adds that FB Robert Hughes could see time at tailback with Bradshaw out.

Mike Chappell of USA Today reports that there are concerns that Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw‘s neck injury could require surgery, which could cost him the remainder of the 2013 season.

The Colts are reportedly “hopeful but concerned” regarding both Bradshaw’s  immediate and long-term status.
