Connor Barwin Has Multiple Offers, Plans To Sign Before Training Camp

Free agent OLB Connor Barwin tells Sirius XM NFL Radio that he plans to decide on one of the current offers he has before the start of training camp.

“We’ve had interest from a number of teams all off-season,” Barwin said. “The offers I have, I think I’ll make my decision before camp starts. I’m not going to go somewhere that I don’t think can win a Super Bowl.

Barwin previously visited with the Cardinals back in April, but left without a deal in place.

Rams GM Les Snead told reporters in March that they were in talks with Barwin about returning to Los Angeles. However, there haven’t been any updates about a new deal since then.

Barwin, 31, is a former second-round pick of the Texans back in 2009. He was entering the fifth year of his six-year, $36 million contract that included $8 million guaranteed when the Eagles released him last year,

The Rams later signed him to a one-year contract and he’s once again testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2017, Barwin appeared in 14 games for the Rams and recorded 34 tackles, five sacks and a fumble recovery. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 103 edge rusher out of 106 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
