Contract Details For Redskins WR DeSean Jackson

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post breaks down WR DeSean Jackson‘s contract with the Washington Redskins.

  • Wilson writes that the four-year $32 million deal acts as a three-year $24 million deal as 2017 is a voidable year, per a league source.
  • The deal has $16 million guaranteed and includes a $5 million signing bonus.
  • Jackson has a $1.5 million roster bonus in 2014 that’s fully guaranteed, a $3.75 million roster bonus in 2015 and a $3.75 million roster bonus in 2016.

By way of comparison, the New York Jets signed Eric Decker this offseason to a five-year $36.25 million deal, with $15 million guaranteed.  The Detroit Lions gave Golden Tate a five-year $31.25 million, with $13.25 guaranteed.

Jackson received more guaranteed money than any other wide receiver signed this offseason.

  1. Boom. RGIII had such a bad year Garcon led the league on receptipns. When Reed was discovered, the only other viable passong option all year, Griff was Top 5 in fantasy. Then, plummeted when Reed was hurt. Gruden and D Jac added makes him Fantasy Top 5 pick, bank it. However, the secondary, which for some reason Griff gets blamed for, is just as pathetic and will again cost us the playoffs. How you sign Lauvos’s pathetic talent instead of Clemons blow my mind.
