Contract Details For Steelers CB Cortez Allen’s New $24.6M Deal

 

Jason Fitzgerald of OverTheCap.com has a breakdown posted for Steelers CB Cortez Allen‘s brand new contract.

Allen is now under team control for the next five years for a total value of $24.6 million. The pact includes $6.75 million guaranteed in the form of a signing bonus and will pay him an average salary of $6.15 million.

Allen’s contract includes a $3 million roster bonus that will be due on the fifth day of the 2015 league year.

According to Fitzgerald, Allen’s cap figure for the 2014 season increased by $569,000 to $2,097,875.

  • Base salaries: $650,000 (2014), $2.631M (2015), $4.4M (2016), $4.3M (2017) and $4.3M (2018).
  • Cap figures: $2,097,875 (2014), $6.981M (2015), $5.75M (2016), $5.65M (2017) and $5.65M (2018).

Last year, he appeared in 14 games for Pittsburgh and recorded 51 tackles, two interceptions, 13 pass defenses and a defensive touchdown.
