Contract Details For Vikings G Brandon Fusco’s New $24.25M Extension

 

Jason Fitzgerald of OverTheCap.com has the full breakdown of Vikings G Brandon Fusco’s new contract extension posted.

Fusco receives a five year, $24.25 million extension that includes a signing bonus of $4 million. The deal includes annual per game roster bonuses up to $80,000 as well as workout bonuses of $50,000.

According to Fitzgerald, there are also escalators included in his contract for making the Pro Bowl.

  • Cap figures: $2,254,556 (2014), $3.55M (2015), $4.05M (2016), $4.8M (2017), $5.8M (2018), $5.250M (2019).

The Vikings selected Fusco with the No. 172 overall pick of the 2011 draft and he has gone on to appear in 34 games over the course of three seasons.

According to Pro Football Focus, Fusco was the No. 8 guard in the league last year out of 81 qualifying players. He was especially solid as a run-blocker for the Vikings, but still had a positive rating in pass-protection based on PFF’s ratings.
