Cowboys Also Hosting RB Felix Jones For A Workout Thursday

Bryan Broaddus of DallasCowboys.com is hearing that the Cowboys are also working veteran RB Felix Jones on Thursday.

Earlier in the day, Josina Anderson of ESPN reported that free agent RB Ben Tate is working out for the Cowboys today.

It’s interesting to hear that the Cowboys are taking a look at a number of running backs given that they have maintained that they’re comfortable with their current group of backs.

Jones, 28, is a former first-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2008. He spent the first five years of his career in Dallas before signing on with the Eagles as an unrestricted free agent in May of 2013. He was later traded to the Steelers.

Jones wound up sitting out the entire 2014 season and hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since the 2013 seaosn.
