Cowboys Could Be Another Team To Watch For LB Stephen Tulloch

James Kratch of NJ.com writes that free agent ILB Stephen Tulloch could make sense for the Cowboys, considering that they LB Rolando McClain has been suspended 10 games for a substance abuse violation.

As of now, the Cowboys have Andrew Gachkar and Anthony Hitchens as potential replacement options to McClain. There’s also a chance they could move Sean Lee back to middle linebacker, but it couldn’t hurt to at least check in on Tulloch to see if he could be a fit for them.

If Dallas brought in Tulloch, it would allow them to keep Hitchens and Lee at their outside linebacker spots.

Since Tulloch was released on Tuesday, the Eagles have also come up as a potential landing spot for, considering his ties to DC Jim Schwartz.

It’s worth mentioning that Dave Birkett reported that Tulloch underwent an offseason ankle surgery and was unable to pass a physical on Tuesday.

Tulloch, 31, is a former fourth-round pick of the Titans back in 2006. After five years in Tennessee, Tulloch signed on with the Lions spent another five years in Detroit before being released.

In 2015, Tulloch appeared in all 16 games and recorded 108 tackles, one sack, a forced fumble, two recoveries and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 54 linebacker out of 97 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Best Available Free Agents list.
