Cowboys CB Orlando Scandrick Has Requested To Be Released

Todd Archer reports that Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick has requested his release from the team on Monday.

According to Archer, Scandrick hopes to get into the free-agent market when it opens Wednesday.

Scandrick, 31, is a former fifth-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2008. He is in the fourth year of his five-year, $20 million contract and set to make base salaries of $3 million and $4 million over the final two years of the agreement.

In 2017, Scandrick recorded 38 tackles, no interceptions and three pass defenses for the Cowboys over the course of 11 games before he was placed on injured reserve.

We’ll have more regarding Scandrick as the news is available.
