Cowboys Cut LB Dekoda Watson, LB Troy Davis, & Donald Hawkins

The Dallas Cowboys officially released LB Dekoda Watson and placed LB Troy Davis and OT Donald Hawkins on waivers Friday, according to the NFL transactions release.

According to OverTheCap.com, releasing these three players will free up $1.765 million in available cap space while creating no dead money for the Cowboys.

Watson, 27, is a former seventh-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2010. He wound up playing out his rookie contract with the team before signings on with the Jaguars in March of last year.

Jacksonville wound up releasing him in November, but the Cowboys signed him to a contract just a few days later.

In 2014, Watson appeared in 10 games and recorded 14 tackles for the Jaguars and Cowboys.
