Cowboys DE Anthony Spencer Will Undergo Knee Surgery

Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas reports that the Cowboys DE Anthony Spencer will undergo surgery on his left knee and will miss 2-4 weeks.

  • Ian Rapoport reports that Spencer’s surgery is only a scope and shouldn’t be a major concern.

An MRI confirmed that Spencer, 29, aggravated a bone bruise on Sunday while doing some conditioning run.

Spencer should still be available for the team’s season opener against the New York Giants. Kyle Wilber is in line for some additional reps now that Spencer will be out for a few weeks.
