Cowboys DE Charles Tapper Likely Headed To Injured Reserve With Foot Fracture

According to Todd Archer, Cowboys DE Charles Tapper is facing surgery to repair a broken right foot suffered during Wednesday’s practice.

Archer says that Tapper is facing a 10-12 week recovery period, which will likely lead to the Cowboys placing him on injured reserve in the coming days. Even so, Archer mentions that Tapper could be a candidate to return from I.R. later on in the season.

Tapper, 24, is a former fourth-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2016. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $2.95 million contract and set to make base salaries of $540,000 and $630,000 over the next two years.

In 2017, Tapper has appeared in two games and recorded three tackles and a sack for the Cowboys.
