Cowboys DE Greg Hardy To Discuss Appeal Of His 4-Game Suspension Following Brady Ruling

Jason Cole of B/R is reporting that Cowboys DE Greg Hardy will discuss an appeal of his four-game suspension with NFLPA now that Tom Brady‘s ban has been overturned in court.

With the NFL’s recent track record of getting beat in court, it’s hard to blame Hardy and his reps for at least considering the idea of pursing an appeal that could get him a reduced sentence. Especially when you consider that Hardy’s contract is designed to pay him on a weekly basis.

The NFL handed down a 10-game suspension for Hardy’s involvement in a domestic violence case that was eventually settled out of court. However, it was later reduced to four games by arbitrator Harold Henderson.

Hardy, 26, signed a one-year contract worth $11.3 million with the Cowboys that includes weekly bonuses as a way to protect the team from him missing a number of games.

Last year, Hardy wound up appearing in just one game and recorded four tackles, one sack, and a forced fumble before he was placed on the commissioners expect list.

We’ll have more regarding Hardy and a potential appeal as the news is available.

  1. So he gets 10 games. Then reduced to 4 games. Now he wants to appeal the appeal. The courts getting involved is screwed.. Goodell cannot suspend anyone.I heard Goodell makes 44million. A year. Justify that. Any one can do that job now. can’t suspend any one. Bugs bunny could do it now. Courts need to stay out of nfl business. Judge is retarded. Brady destroys his phone during an investigation.if the courts are going to get involved, charge him . Then he is looking at jail time.
