Cowboys DE Randy Gregory Reinstated From Did-Not-Report List, Still On Suspended List

Cowboys DE Randy Gregory was reinstated from the reserve/did-not-report list but he still remains on the reserve/suspended list.

  • Field Yates reports that Gregory is currently suspended three games, but it’s possible that this figure could be increased to 10 games, depending on what happens with his appeal.
  • According to Charean Williams, Gregory is now out of rehab, but his appeal has yet to be scheduled.

This is really just a formality, considering that Gregory is still facing a potential 10-game suspension, according to reports.

Dallas placed Gregory and LB Rolando McClain on the did-not-report list back in July, which gave the Cowboys a few roster spots to work with.

Gregory received a four-game suspension back in February for a violation of the NFL substance-abuse policy. He failed four drug tests, per the NFL’s drug policy with the first violation coming at the combine.

Gregory, 23, is in the second year of his four-year, $3.814 million contract that includes $1.404 million guaranteed. He stands to make a base salary of $525,000 for the 2016 season.

In 2015, Gregory appeared in 12 games for the Cowboys and recorded 11 tackles and no sacks.
