Cowboys DE Randy Gregory Suspended Four Games For Substance Abuse Violation

The NFL announced Cowboys DE Randy Gregory has been suspended four games for a violation of the NFL substance-abuse policy.

Ian Rapoport mentions that Gregory failed four drug tests, per the NFL’s drug policy with the first violation coming at the combine.

There were obviously a lot of concerns about Gregory during last year’s draft, which led to him dropping to the end of the round two, even though he was viewed as a top-ten talent.

Gregory, 23, is in the second year of his four-year, $3.814 million contract that includes $1.404 million guaranteed. He stands to make a base salary of $525,000 for the 2016 season.

In 2015, Gregory appeared in 12 games for the Cowboys and recorded 11 tackles and no sacks.
