Cowboys Discussing All Options Involving CB Orlando Scandrick Including Trade

Josina Anderson reports that the Cowboys “have discussed all options, to trade or keep” in regards to CB Orlando Scandrick.

According to Anderson, there’s “no definitive timeline” right now for a resolution, but Scandrick has already told her he’s open to “parting amicably” and believes “a change of scenery” could be beneficial for him.

Last we heard regarding Scandrick, Cowboys executive VP Stephen Jones told reporters a few weeks ago that he will likely be cut or traded this offseason, per Clarence Hill.

Scandrick was reportedly available for trade last year and Hill mentioned specifically that the Cowboys attempted to deal him to the Saints in return for S Kenny Vaccaro during last year’s draft.

Hill adds that the Rams could also be an intriguing landing spot if they don’t re-sign their CB Nickell Robey-Coleman.

Scandrick, 31, is a former fifth-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2008. He is in the fourth year of his five-year, $20 million contract and set to make base salaries of $3 million and $4 million over the final two years of the agreement.

In 2017, Scandrick recorded 38 tackles, no interceptions and three pass defenses for the Cowboys over the course of 11 games before he was placed on injured reserve.

We’ll have more regarding Scandrick as the news is available.
