Cowboys Expected To Bring In RB Alfred Morris For A Visit On Monday

Nick Eatman reports that the Cowboys are expected to host Redskins free agent RB Alfred Morris for a visit on Monday.

This is the first reported interest in Morris since the market opened over a week ago. Previous reports have mentioned the Dolphins as a team with interest in Morris, but there hasn’t been much regarding this idea in recent weeks.

Morris, 27, is a former sixth-round pick of the Redskins back in 2012. He played out his four-year, $2,223,100 rookie contract with the Redskins and is testing the open market for the first time as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2015, Morris appeared in all 16 games for the Redskins and ran for 751 yards on 202 carries (3.7 YPC) to go along with 10 receptions for 55 yards receiving and a touchdown. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 52 running back out of 68 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Best Available Free Agents list.
