Cowboys Expected To Bring In S Dashon Goldson For A Visit

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Cowboys are planning to bring in veteran S Dashon Goldson for a visit in the coming days.

This is the first reported interest from a team other than Washington, who are reportedly interested in possibly bringing Goldson back at a lower salary from what he was making previously.

Earlier in the day, Jason Cole of B/R reported that the Cowboys have been working diligently throughout free agency to try to upgrade the safety position.

Dallas is reportedly considering the idea of moving Bryon Jones back to cornerback in 2016 and bringing in an upgrade at safety to replace J.J. Wilcox, who was underwhelming last year.

Goldson, 31, was in the the fourth year of his five-year, $41.25 million contract that included $22 million guaranteed when he was released in a move that freed up $8 million in available cap space for the Redskins.

In 2015, Goldson appeared in 15 games for the Redskins and recorded 110 tackles, one interception returned for a touchdown, a forced fumble and three pass defenses for Washington.
