Cowboys Signed LB James Morris

Update:

The Cowboys announced that they’ve officially signed LB James Morris.

Cowboys VP Stephen Jones told reporters that he expects them to sign LB James Morris to a contract on Tuesday, per Todd Archer.

Morris was one of three linebackers brought in for workouts on Tuesday, including  Quayshawn Nealy and Emmanuel Acho.

Morris, 24, wound up signing on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa back in 2014. He was able to make the 53-man roster during his rookie season and returned to New England on an exclusive rights deal last year.

However, he was among their final roster cuts before later signing to the Giants practice squad. New York elected to cut Morris loose back in May.

In 2015, Morris appeared in six games for the Giants and recorded two tackles.
