ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Cowboys are fear RB Lance Dunbar tore both his left ACL and MCL during Sunday night’s game.

Dunbar is scheduled to undergo an MRI at some point today to determine the severity of the injury.

Coming out of half time, Dunbar was returning a kick when his leg twisted underneath him awkwardly. He immediately threw the ball away and grabbed for his knee, which was a clear indication that it was likely a major knee injury.

Dunbar, 25, wound up signing a one-year, $1.542 million contract with the Cowboys back in April, and was looking like an impact player in the team’s offense.

Over the course of four games, Dunbar has rushed for 67 yards on five carries (13.4 YPC) to go along with 21 receptions for 215 yards receiving. He also contributed 146 kick return yards.

We’ll have more regarding Dunbar’s injury as the news is available.
