Cowboys Get Down To 53 Players, Cut WR A.J. Jenkins

The Dallas Cowboys officially announced their roster cuts Saturday, as they got down to the required 53 players.

The list of players who have either been released or placed on waivers includes:

Jenkins, 25, was taken with the No. 30 overall pick in the 2012 draft by the San Francisco 49ers. However, he lasted just a year with the team before he was traded to the Chiefs in return for fellow draft bust Jonathan Baldwin.

Kansas City ultimately elected to release Jenkins back in February before he later caught on with the Cowboys.

Jenkins has appeared in just 28 games over the course of three season and made three starts. In three years, he’s caught 17 passes for 223 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
