Cowboys “Guaranteed” To Bring HC Jason Garrett Back Next Season

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told reporters on Thursday that HC Jason Garrett will be returning to the team next year, no matter how they finish the season, per Clarence Hill.

In fact, Jones went as far to guarantee Garrett’s return next season. He even said that he is not disappointed in with the job defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin has done this season.

The Cowboys are currently 5-5 on the season and once looked like the obvious favorites to win the NFC East. That was before the Eagles overtook them as division leaders and the Giants fought their way back from the cellar. Dallas will be up against New York on Sunday Night Football this week, so a win from the Cowboys could go a long way towards helping Garrett’s case for returning next season, even after Jones guaranteed his return.

During his time as the Cowboys’ head coach, Garrett has a career record of 26-24.
