Cowboys Place CB Orlando Scandrick On I.R.

Tim MacMahon of ESPNDallas,com confirms that the Cowboys have placed CB Orlando Scandrick on the I.R. list.

The decision comes after Scandrick suffered a broken hand back in the Cowboys Thanksgiving loss against the Redskins. Scandrick was required to have surgery on his hand and was given a timetable to return in 6 to 8 weeks. Unless the team were to make a deep playoff run, there was no reason to keep Scandrick around these last 4 weeks.

In his place, the team signed NT Rob Callaway from the practice squad to add depth to the position due to the fact that Jay Ratliff is expected to miss his third consecutive game.
