Cowboys Place DE Charles Tapper On Injured Reserve

The Dallas Cowboys have placed DE Charles Tapper on injured reserve Thursday, according to Charean Williams.

Reports from Wednesday has said that Tapper was facing a 10-12 week recovery period and would need surgery to repair a broken right foot suffered during Wednesday’s practice, so this shouldn’t come as a big surprise.

Tapper could still be a candidate to return from I.R. later on in the season.

Tapper, 24, is a former fourth-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2016. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $2.95 million contract and set to make base salaries of $540,000 and $630,000 over the next two years.

In 2017, Tapper has appeared in two games and recorded three tackles and a sack for the Cowboys.
