According to Calvin Watkins of ESPN, the Dallas Cowboys placed DE Jack Crawford on injured reserve, and promoted LB Keith Smith to the active roster from the practice squad.

Crawford broke his thumb in Sunday’s win over the Giants.  Prior to the injury, Crawford registered two sacks over six games.  He spent the previous two seasons with Oakland.

Smith signed with Dallas as an undrafted free agent out of San Jose State.  He was very productive in his college career, particularly as a senior, registering 159 tackles.
