Cowboys Place DT Jay Ratliff On PUP List

The Dallas Cowboys placed veteran DT Jay Ratliff on the reserve/PUP list Tuesday.

There was hope that Ratliff would be able to return from a hamstring injury in time for the team’s Week 1 match up against the Giants, but that unfortunately wasn’t the case.

Ratliff, 31, has been sitting out of the team’s training camp practices and won’t be eligible to play until Week 7.

Ratliff was rumored to be a potential roster cut a few months go due to the fact that he still has a considerable amount of money on his contract. It’s doubt that Ratliff will see even a good portion of the over $20 million still remaining on his current deal.

Dallas will likely move forward with Jason Hatcher and Sean Lissemore at defensive tackle.
