Cowboys Place G Parker Ehinger On IR, Sign G Kadeem Edwards

The Dallas Cowboys announced Friday that they’ve placed G Parker Ehinger on injured reserve and signed G Kadeem Edwards to a contract.

Ehinger, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2016. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2.9 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $630,000 and $720,000 over the next two years of the agreement.

The Cowboys traded CB Charvarius Ward to the Chiefs in return for Ehinger last week.

In 2017, Ehinger was limited to appearing in just one game.

Edwards, 27, is a former fifth-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2014. He lasted just a few months in Tampa Bay before he was waived with an injury settlement a few weeks into his rookie season.

Edwards had a brief stint with the Jaguars before signing on to the Cowboys’ practice squad during the 2016 season. Unfortunately, Dallas waived him last weekend as they cut their roster down to 53 players.

Edwards has yet to appear in an NFL game.
