Cowboys Place LB John Lotulelei & WR Corey Washington On Injured Reserve

The Dallas Cowboys officially placed LB John Lotulelei and WR Corey Washington on injured reserve after passing through waivers unclaimed.

Washington, 25, originally signed on with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of Newberry back in May of 2014. He lasted just a few weeks with the Cardinals before he was waived and later claimed by the Giants.

After a year in New York, Washington had brief stints with the Redskins and Lions before signing on with the Falcons back in July of 2015. Unfortunately, he was among Atlanta’s final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

The Bills wound up signing him to their practice squad in October and Buffalo brought him back on a one-year deal this past March. After being cut loose a few months, Washington later signed on with the Chiefs before being cut loose a few weeks ago.

Dallas just signed him to a contract not long ago.

In 2014, Washington appeared in 14 games for the Giants and caught five passes for 52 yards receiving and a touchdown.

Lotulelei, 25, wound up signing on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of UNLV back in 2013. He lasted just a few months in Seattle before he was waived and later claimed by the Jaguars.

After two years in Jacksonville, Lotulelei was cut loose during the 2015 season and later signed to the Raiders’ practice squad. Oakland elected to part ways with him at the start of the season and he wound up sitting out the entire 2016 season.

The Cowboys signed Lotulelei to a future/reserve contract this past January.

In 2015, Lotulelei appeared in four games for the Raiders but did not register a statistic.
