Cowboys Place LB Justin Durant On NFI & DT Richard Ash On PUP List

According to Clarence Hill Jr., the Cowboys are placing LB Justin Durant on the non-football injury list and DT Richard Ash on the physically unable to perform list.

Durant, 31, is a former second-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2007. He spent four years in Jacksonville before signing on with the Lions in 2011. Durant later played two years for the Cowboys before signing three-year, $10.8 million contract with the Falcons.

Atlanta elected to cut Durant loose back in February of last year and he eventually signed a one-year contract with the Cowboys. Dallas just re-signed him to a contract earlier this week.

In 2016, Durant appeared in 13 games and recorded 37 tackles, one sack and three pass defenses.

Ash, 24, originally signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Western Michigan back in 2015. He bounced on and off the team’s practice squad before being signed by the Cowboys in December.

In 2016, Ash appeared in two games for Dallas and recorded six total tackles.
