Cowboys Place OT Ryan Seymour On Retired List, Cut OT Darryl Baldwin

The Dallas Cowboys officially waived OT Darryl Baldwin with a failed physical designation on Thursday and placed OT Ryan Seymour on the reserve/retired list.

Seymour, 27, is a former seventh-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2013. Seattle eventually lost Seymour to the 49ers when San Francisco signed him off of their practice squad during his rookie season.

Seymour bounced around a bit with the Browns and Bears before eventually signing to the Saints practice squad. The Giants later signed him to a contract but he was unfortunately among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

Dallas eventually signed him to their practice squad a few months into the regular season before calling him up towards the end of the season. The Cowboys re-signed him to a two-year contract back in February.

In 2016, Seymour was active for one game.

Baldwin, 25, originally signed on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio State back in May of 2015. He was, unfortunately, unable to make the Ravens’ 53-man roster coming out of the preseason.

He later signed on with the Bengals but was waived him shortly after the 2016 NFL Draft. Dallas later signed him to a contract but he reverted to the team’s injured reserve after being waived with an injury designation.

He has yet to appear in an NFL game.
