Cowboys Place RB Jahad Thomas On I.R. After Clearing Waivers

The Dallas Cowboys officially placed RB Jahad Thomas on injured reserve after he passed through waivers unclaimed on Saturday.

Thomas, 21, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Temple back in May. He stands to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the agreement.

The Cowboys waived Thomas with an injury designation on Friday.

During his four-year college career, Thomas rushed for 2,599 yards on 563 carries (4.6 YPC) to go along with 69 receptions for 998 yards receiving and 38 total touchdowns over the course of 46 games.
