Cowboys Place Rookie WR Chris Brown On I.R. After Clearing Waivers

The Dallas Cowboys officially placed rookie WR Chris Brown on their injured reserve list on Friday after he passed through waivers unclaimed.

Brown, 22, wound up going undrafted back in May out of Notre Dame. He signed a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Cowboys and stands to make a base salary of $450,000 for the 2016 season.

Brown unfortunately suffered a broken foot in Monday’s practice, so it was likely that he would end up up on their injured reserve list at some point. Dallas waived Brown on Thursday with an injury designation.

During his college career, Brown totaled 104 receptions for 1,410 yards receiving and six touchdowns.
