Cowboys Promote QB Kellen Moore To Active Roster, Not Signing A Veteran QB

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Cowboys are promoting QB Kellen Moore to their active roster on Tuesday.

Earlier in the day, the Cowboys brought in a number of free agent quarterbacks like Christian Ponder, Josh Johnson and Matt Flynn for workouts. However, they will instead move forward with Brandon Weeden and Moore as their quarterbacks.

Moore, 26, wound up signing on with the Lions as an undrafted free agent out of Boise State back in 2012. He spent over three years in Detroit before he was among their final roster cuts a few weeks back.

The Cowboys later signed him to their practice squad.

Moore has yet to appear in an NFL game.
