Cowboys Re-Sign OT Darrion Weems & G Ronald Leary

Update:

The Dallas Cowboys announced Tuesday that they’ve re-signed exclusive rights free agents G Ronald Leary and OT Darrion Weems, per Brandon George.

Leary, 25, signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Memphis back in 2012. Last year, he appeared in 15 games for the Cowboys and was rated as the No. 19 guard out of 78 qualifying players, according to Pro Football Focus.

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post, citing a league source, reports that the Cowboys have re-signed OT Darrion Weems.

Weems, 26, finished out his three-year, $1.44 million rookie contract and was set to be an exclusive rights free agent in the next few weeks.

Weems signed on with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon back in 2012. Since then, he’s played for the Buccaneers, Colts and Patriots before later joining the Cowboys in December of 2012.

Last year, Weems didn’t appear in a single game, so it seems very likely that he’ll be asked to compete for a roster spot in training camp.
