Cowboys Re-Sign RB Gus Johnson

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Cowboys have re-signed RB Gus Johnson to a contract on Tuesday.

Johnson, 22, originally signed on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Stephen F. Austin back in May. He lasted just a few days with Oakland before he was waived and later signed on with the Cowboys.

Since then, Johnson has been on and off of the team’s practice squad.

During the preseason, Johnson ran for 139 yards on 37 carries (3.8 YPC) to go along with two receptions for five yards and two total touchdowns over the course of four games.
