Dallas has some issues at linebacker with Damien Wilson facing potential league discipline, Jaylon Smith working his way back from a major knee injury and Mark Nzeocha possibly opening training camp on the physically unable to perform list.

Durant, 31, is a former second-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2007. He spent four years in Jacksonville before signing on with the Lions in 2011. Durant later played two years for the Cowboys before signing three-year, $10.8 million contract with the Falcons.

Atlanta elected to cut Durant loose back in February of last year and he eventually signed a one-year contract with the Cowboys in July.

In 2016, Durant appeared in 13 games and recorded 37 tackles, one sack and three pass defenses.
