Cowboys Release DE Charles Tapper From Practice Squad

Terez A. Paylor reports that the Cowboys have released DE Charles Tapper from their practice squad on Tuesday.

The Cowboys’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. WR Dres Anderson
  2. OT Jake Campos
  3. RB Jordan Chunn
  4. WR Lance Lenoir
  5. CB Donovan Olumba
  6. LB Kyle Queiro
  7. RB Bo Scarbrough
  8. S Treston Decoud

Tapper, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2016. He was in the third year of his four-year, $2.95 million contract and set to make base salaries of $630,000 and $720,000 over the next two years when the Cowboys cut him loose this past weekend.

Dallas later re-signed Tapper to their practice squad.

In 2017, Tapper appeared in two games and recorded three tackles and a sack for the Cowboys.
