Cowboys Release Six Players

According to Brandon George, the Dallas Cowboys waived or released six players including: LB Jabara Williams, WR Lance Lewis, DT Frank Kearse, OG Chris DeGeare, DE Tristan Okpalaugo and LB Quinton Spears.

Williams, 24, was a seventh-round pick of the Rams out of Stephen F. Austin back in 2011. He has spent time with the Bears and obviously the Cowboys in recent years. However, he hasn’t played in a game since 2011.

Lewis, 25, signed with the Washington Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of East Carolina back in 2012. Washington parted ways with him December of last year and he would go on to sign a Reserve/Future contract with the Cowboys following the season.

Kearse, 25, was a seventh-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2011. He would later join the Panthers for a few season before ending up with Dallas last year. He appeared in two games for them and totaled a single tackle.
