Cowboys Releasing S Jameill Showers From PS, Signing WR Brian Brown

Brandon George reports that the Cowboys are planning to re-sign WR Brian Brown to their practice squad and release S Jameill Showers from the unit.

The Cowboys’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. TE Blake Jarwin
  2. TE Richard Ash
  3. G Kadeem Edwards
  4. WR Lance Lenior
  5. DT Lewis Neal
  6. G Dan Skipper
  7. G Nate Theaker
  8. CB Marquez White
  9. LB Mark Nzeocha
  10. WR Brian Brown

Showers, 26, wound up going undrafted out of UTEP back in May of last year before signing a three-year, $1.425 million contract with the Cowboys. Dallas cut him loose this coming out of the preseason but later added him to their practice squad at the start of the season.

The Cowboys brought Showers back on a future/reserve contract this past January but waived him a few weeks ago.

Showers completed 266 of 474 passing attempts for 3,121 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions over the course of two years at UTEP.
