Cowboys Rookie G Connor Williams Undergoing Knee Surgery

Todd Archer reports that Cowboys rookie G Connor Williams will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right knee on Wednesday.

According to Archer, it’s possible that Willians could return in a few weeks for their game against the Falcons.

For the time being, Archer says the Cowboys will turn to either Adam Redmond or Xavier Su’a-Filo to replace Williams.

Williams, 21, was selected with the No. 50 overall pick in the second round by the Cowboys. He agreed to a four-year, $5,488,996 contract with the Cowboys that includes a $2,071,996 signing bonus.

In 2018, Williams has appeared in eight games for the Cowboys.

During his college career at Texas, Williams started 28 games and was a first-team All-American in 2016 before suffering a torn left meniscus and sprained PCL/MCL last season.
