Cowboys Showing Interest In DL Amobi Okoye

Calvin Watkins of ESPN Dallas reports that the Cowboys have expressed interest in free-agent DL Amobi Okoye.

  • Watkins adds that the Cowboys have no plans at the moment to bring in any linemen for a workout.

Dallas’ defensive line has taken a few hits following the recent injuries to Tyrone Crawford and Anthony Spencer.

Okoye, 26, actually spent time with Dallas DL coach Rod Marinelli in Chicago, so it makes sense that they would at least consider the idea of bringing him in. Okoye appeared in nine games last season and graded out as an above-average run-stopper for the Bears.

We’ll have to see if they bring him in for a workout at some point in the near future.
