Cowboys Sign CB Brandon Smith To A Two-Year Deal

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Cowboys have signed CB Brandon Smith to a two-year contract.

Smith, 28, originally signed on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Arizona State back in 2013. He lasted just a few months in Green Bay before he was waived at the start of the regular season.

The Bills wound up signing him to their practice squad just a few days later. Since then, Smith has been on an off of the Bills’ practice squad and has had a brief stint with the Jets, so he’ll obviously need to earn a roster spot this summer, even with the two-year agreement.

Smith last appeared in an NFL game during the 2013 season, but has yet to record a single statistic.
