Ross Jones of FOX Sports reports that the Cowboys have signed veteran FB Jed Collins to a contract.
Collins, 29, originally signed on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out Washington State of back in 2008. Since then, he’s played for the Bears, Browns, Chiefs, Cardinals, Titans, Saints and Lions.
In 2014, Collins appeared in all 16 games for the Lions and ran for 19 yards on eight carries (1.2 YPC) to go along with five receptions for 39 yards receiving and a touchdown.
Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 15 fullback out of 23 qualifying players.
