Cowboys Sign Fourth-Round Pick LB Anthony Hitchens

The Cowboys have agreed to terms with fourth-round pick LB Anthony Hitchens on Sunday, according to Aaron Wilson.

Dallas now has all but two of their 2014 draft picks under contract, not including first-round pick OL Zack Martin and second-round selection DE Demarcus Lawrence.

Hitchens’ four-year contract is worth an estimated $2,654,864 which includes a signing bonus of $434,864, according to OverTheCap.com.

The loss of veteran ILB Sean Lee to a torn anterior cruciate ligament opens up a huge opportunity for Hitchens to compete for a starting job in training camp.

At Iowa, Hitchens totaled Hawkeyes with 270 tackles, 19 tackles for losses, three sacks, an interception and two forced fumbles.
