Cowboys Sign OL Joe Looney To A Two-Year Deal

The Dallas Cowboys announced Tuesday that they’ve signed OL Joe Looney to a two-year contract.

Dallas were reportedly bringing in Looney for a visit, so it appears as though the meeting went quite well.

David Helman notes that Looney will give the Cowboys some offensive line depth now that they lost Mackenzy Bernadeau to the Jaguars.

Looney, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the 49ers back in 2012. He spent three years in San Francisco before he was unfortunately among the team’s final roster cuts at the start of the 2015 season.

The Titans wound up signing him to a contract back in October of last year and he finished out the season in Tennessee.

In 2015, Looney appeared in eight games for the Titans and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 34 center out of 39 qualifying players.
