Cowboys Sign Rookie DT Gerald Dixon Jr

The Dallas Cowboys are signing rookie DT Gerald Dixon Jr. to a contract on Wednesday, according to Drew Davison.

There was talk that the Cowboys could add a defensive tackle at some point in the near future, as they’ve been dealing with some injuries.

Dixon, 23, wound up signing on with the Falcons as undrafted free agent out of South Carolina back in May. However, he lasted just two days in Atlanta before he was waived.

During his four-year college career, Dixon recorded 118 tackles, 14 tackles for a loss, five sacks, a forced fumble, an interception and four pass defenses.
