Cowboys Sign Two Defensive Backs

The Dallas Cowboys have officially signed DBs Korey Lindsey and Johnny Thomas to contracts after they both passed physicals on Wednesday.

The Cowboys had to bring in some secondary help as their defensive backs coach was reportedly filling in at safety on the scout team earlier this week.

Lindsey, 25, is a former seventh-round selection of the New Orleans Saints. He lasted just a few months with the Saints before he was claimed off of waivers by the Cardinals.

Lindsay has also spent time with the Colts, Jaguars and Redskins before returning to New Orleans last year. He has yet to appear in an NFL game.

Thomas, 24, signed with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma State back in 2012. He was placed on waivers before the start of the 2012 regular season and didn’t sign on with a team during the 2013 season.
