Cowboys Sign RB Alfred Morris To A Two-Year Deal Worth Up To $5.5M

The Dallas Cowboys announced that they’ve officially signed former Redskins RB Alfred Morris to a two-year deal on Tuesday.

The Cowboys have reached an agreement with RB Alfred Morris on a two-year deal Tuesday, according to his agent Sean Stellato, per Aaron Wilson.

  • Ian Rapoport reports that Morris’ two-year contract has a base value of $3.5 million and could be worth as much as $5.5 million.

Morris, 27, is a former sixth-round pick of the Redskins back in 2012. He played out his four-year, $2,223,100 rookie contract with the Redskins and was testing the open market for the first time as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2015, Morris appeared in all 16 games for the Redskins and ran for 751 yards on 202 carries (3.7 YPC) to go along with 10 receptions for 55 yards receiving and a touchdown. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 52 running back out of 68 qualifying players.
