According to Eric Edholm of Yahoo Sports, it would not be surprising if the Cowboys signed free agent RB Lache Seastrunk to a contract on Monday.

  • Edholm mentions that Dallas looks to be prepared to release undrafted RB Synjyn Days today.

Seastrunk, 23, was selected in the sixth-round of the 2014 NFL draft by the Redskins. However, he was unable to make the final 53-man roster coming out of the preseason.

He later caught on with the Panthers briefly before signing to the Titans practice squad in October of last year. Tennessee wound up signing him to a future/reserve contract in December, only to place him on waivers close to a month ago.

Seastrunk was a five-star recruit coming out of high school, but he would later transfer to Baylor. He produced 2,189 yards rushing on 289 carries (7.57 YPC) and 18 TDs for the Bears over the course of two years.

  1. IF YOU WERE THIS DAMN WORRIED WHY DIDN’T YOU JUST SIGN MURRAY SOMETHING TELLS ME DALLAS IS GOING TO HAVE A SO-SO SEASON.

  2. Sounds good but the question lingers as to why he couldn’t stick anywhere. Was it a lack of maturity doing stupid things or lack of passion to be the best he could be. I don’t know but for some reason he just hasn’t stuck. It is obvious some teams saw something there whether it is much potential or whatever. Many people show tremendous potential but it never materializes.

  3. Remember when running backs used to have names like Jim or Tony? I totally support releasing Synjyn simply based on his name.
