Cowboys Still Weighing Options Regarding OLB Anthony Spencer

According to David Moore of the Dallas Morning News, “indications are” that the Cowboys will most likely decide against using their franchise tag on OLB Anthony Spencer.

Moore adds that the Cowboys are meeting to discuss their options. A source mentioned that “nothing definitive” has been determined regarding Spencer’s future with the team.

The franchise tag would run the Cowboys $10.63 million and require them to shed another $5-plus million in cap space by March 12.

We have Spencer listed as the No. 15 best available player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
