Cowboys Trade 2016 Conditional Pick To Raiders For WR Brice Butler

The Dallas Cowboys have traded a conditional pick in 2016 for Raiders WR Brice Butler on Tuesday, according to Todd Archer.

  • Charean Williams reports that the Cowboys will send the Raiders a fifth-round pick if Butler is on their 53-man roster for six games, and Oakland will give Dallas their sixth-round pick in 2016.

Butler has announced the move via his Twitter account.

Dallas worked out a number of receivers on Tuesday including Hakeem Nicks, Austin Pettis and Nick Toon, but it appears as though their preference all along was to get a deal done for Butler.

Butler, 25, has two years remaining on his four-year, $2.23 million rookie contract that included a $67,500 signing bonus. He stands to make base salaries of $585,000 and $675,000 over the remainder of the contract.

In 2014, Butler appeared in 15 games for the Raiders and caught 21 passes for 280 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
